The Secret Behind Mona Lisa's Smile

In England, archaeologists have found new explanation for an old mystery. For many years, people have been fascinated with the smile of Leonardo Da Vinci's famous painting, "Mona Lisa". There seem to be a mystery with the woman. Now, scientists in Bradford, England say they know why the Mona Lisa smiled that way: guess what? She had bad teeth!

Scientists believe that the painting shows a woman called Isabella of Aragon, also known as La Gioconda. She lived in the 1500s when dentists do not know as much about teeth as they do today. Therefore, many people had bad teeth. Could Isabella had bad teeth?

Archaeologists thought that Isabella might have had something to hide. They looked at her teeth. Sure enough, they were black and scarred. The old-fashioned toothpaste that Isabella used may have caused these problems. They could also have come from using mercury, a poison that was used as a medicine.

So when Leonardo started painting, Isabella did not say "cheese!".

Juana Change Chats With Me!

Oh my goodness!

We mostly talked about how's her day. I share how great she is, how strong she faced the Philippine Government for a change.

Mabuhay ka Juana Change!

Goldenberg-IV Convocation

94.4%.

The highest convocation grade our section had since first year. As the director of the show, I am not on my high expectations with what others performed during our practices. But I was wrong, my classmates also worked hard to achieve the grade.

There were so many errors we encountered during the show. One major is our 2 laptops. One had no lights. The other is slow-working. I don't know. But besides all of the malfunctions, we were blessed with the grade and the comments of the students and teachers.

NNNN: the most favorite of everybody. It was starred by Nicole Mae Seminio as Krissy,a and Bryan Gonzalez as Bhoy. Everyone enjoyed that part. The skit also, was very good. The audience had fun watching everything on our convocation.

Below are the videos from the NNNN:

Those were the interviews from the NNNN.
Under this are the commercial spoofs played by Amiel Bucayan as Jehomar Bitay and Cris Vienne Dadivas as the kid in the Gulay Me!

Now, below are the errors we all laughed at. This was not shown to the audience. :)

Those videos were only parts of the grade we achieved. We also had a very good stage design, though it was rushed.

And maybe as the last convocation we have in our high school years, I salute everyone on the Goldenberg-IV Batch 2010 for a job well done!

You made it a great convocation!

No Blogs During Class Days.

After three weeks classes has started, I have been unexposed to write blogs on my site. I miss typing, correcting, analyzing errors and posting blogs.

One major reason: I am a senior now. I carry two times more responsibilities not unlike last year. So far, I am loving my Senior Year. The dilemma is, I am not fond of being called as "Manong", or in other words, an older brother. I still cannot internalize that the best years of my life will end next year, realizing time runs fast.

The purpose I wrote this is because I miss typing in the keyboard what I felt. I remembered doing this thing because I wanted to be a journalist, part-time one. At least in five of ten minutes, I get to tell what I thought, and what I feel.

Don't worry my blog, I will still post blogs. I still have more to prioritize.

Want to know and detect who's hiding on your Yahoo Messenger's friends list?

In Yahoo Messenger(YM), you have two options to go online. Be available, which means you want to be chatted; or be invisible, you don't want to be chatted and seeing your online friends while they can't view you as online.

Now, everybody can see who's invisible with some sites provided below:

This Bulilit Commercial

Whenever I watch television, I often disregard advertisements and commercials. But this attention-catching commercial of the Camella Homes really caught my eye.

"Bulilit, bulilit, sanay sa masikip. Kung kumilos, kumilos ang liit-liit."

Those words are the content of the jingle titled "Sikip" on the commercial. Take a look at it below.

Due to its ever-sounding popularity, this commercial has been made numerous spoofs to put a big smile on our faces. Here are some of the videos that can be searched on Youtube.com.

Now, this commercial has been the talk of the town. As others say, the
cutest commercial on Philippine television so far. And I agree.

Express Right!

People may often misinterpret the feelings of others, but these "others" have real feelings to express. Everybody should understand that.

There are a lot of ways to show emotions. Best is through personal conversation, and others, through a form of media like texting in cellphones and the internet. But sometimes, I find this expression of feelings a little showy and finding for impression and attention. I may hurt others with these write-up but that's what I think.

The idea of expressing emotions should be done to release tension in ourselves. That is true, right? It is also important that we know our rights and others' of using the freedom of expression. But I often think others overreact or maybe exaggerate what they really feel. I call that as a half-truth. Some say half-truth are no better than lies. I have to agree with that.

But I have a tip to those who find this freedom for their personal purposes or maybe fame:
Express from your heart. It will not sound FAKE and will be believable if you say what's really inside. That I would neither judge nor criticize you. X]

Pick: Pet Society or Restaurant City?

Anyone who enjoys the pleasures of
Facebook and Playfish can answer.

But in my own opinion, I find Restaurant City better than Pet Society. I don't know why, maybe because I find Resto City much simpler and interesting than Pet Society. My sister and younger brother will surely pick Pet Society, but I simply don't mind. I like Restaurant City more than the other.

Just enjoy Facebook. You can also find some fun with Yoville and Geo Challenge.

And
why can't you pick both? Who said you can't? :)

My Summer 2009

As much as I hate or love to say, but my summer is officially over.

I have not done as much stuff as a regular "bakasyonista" would do, but I guess Summer 2009 was quite worthwhile.

I spent two weeks on two separate camps. One was the National Summer Youth Science and Technology Camp in Balanga, Bataan. I was with 12 other classmates, 1 schoolmate and an adviser, Ma'am Jovelita Crizaldo. I think, that camp was my best so far. It is because I had my firsts in this camp. I knew the feeling of being a passenger in an airplane. And also, I figured what it feels to be in RORO (Roll-On Roll-Off). Major first, I have been to Manila and some parts of Luzon's roads like Batangas, and Bataan. Due to RORO's bus, I was able to experience the highways of Mindoro and Aklan. There are a lot more reasons why that was my most memorable and best camp so far. Like, I met new friends from different parts of the country, mostly from Mindanao which has the biggest delegation on the said camp. I spent quality time with them, especially with my group, SavEn(7). I also get to visit a Pawikan Shelter where I first saw and touched a baby and adult pawikan. I also witnessed an Aeta lectured fancily. I enjoyed the comforts of a hotel. But with limits. But that's alright, I had fun with Crown Hotel's Elevator.

The other camp was the Red Cross Youth Summer Camp Training. I really enjoyed this camp because we were completely out of the city, and it's a matter of survival. There was a limited supply of electricity, water, food and other conveniences. But, it did not stop me to have fun. I experienced fetching the water, washing the dishes, sleeping in silver foam, taking a bath with water from a small well, no cellphone and other stuff I don't usually do in the city. I learned a lot from the training. I knew bandaging, challenges, lectures and how to give basic first-aid. I also meet some folks from other schools like Saint Mary's and SSTC. I felt sad when the last night and morning of the camp came. I have not chatted that much to other campers, but I realized we can still see other in the city. I also get to see my family after a week of my absence!

Other parts of my summer include signing of my clearance which took almost a week, hang-outs with my friends, quality time with my family, texting, and most of the time, surfing the net for almost four hours a day. I met some friends from Iloilo, which my friends met a certain camp. I also visited Kathleen's house for a feast in Panay, Capiz. That was all I remembered spending my summer of 2009.

Ending of my summer means starting of classes, again. This time, my last year of High School comes. I hope Summer 2010 would be much better and be the happiest.

New Business.

Blogging. That's what my new business is.

I always wanted to have a blog, but I exactly do not know where to start. I thought that as soon I post my very first post, the flow of uttering words will not be a problem.

I welcome myself to the world of blogging! XD
